Naida and Mark are no longer on board Butch, but on a German ship that picked them. Butch had a structural problem that prevented to continue the safe navigation and had to abandon the boat.
courses were not of the dangers, but obviously Mark and Naida are very shaken by what they have for the past and have had to abandon their boat.
Now I'm calm, I repeat, and no danger has never been raced. But the situation required this intervention. They called me yesterday afternoon and I immediately gave the alarm. I think we can say that coordination between the Ministry of the Italian Navy and the French has worked very well.

Now it seems that the ship is a German research vessel which is carrying out research in the Atlantic. From what I know, can not return to earth (Martinique) before 13 February. But then we'll have more news.
Marco Naida and Butch are not on anymore, But on a german vessel. Butch had a structural problem that couldn't allow them to keep on sailing safe and Marco and Naida had to leave her.
They've never been in life danger but they would have if they didn't take this very hard decision. Of course they're both very shocked for what they went through and for being forced to abandone their boat.
Now they're ok. I spoke with them a few minutes ago. I repeat: they've never been in danger. But when they called me yesterday we talked and agreed that the alarm needed to be sent. The cooperation between the italian and french navy ministries worked very well.

It seems that the german vessel is a scientific ship, doing some kind of researches in the Atlantic Ocean. For what I know they have to keep on their duty. And someone told me that they'll land the 13th of february, in Martinica. But there's time to find out more about this.
