Longjing tea: well the dragon


Longjing tea is regarded as one of "history" of China, also known as Guo-Cha (tea nationally). The earliest records date back to 1500 years ago during the Song dynasty, as reported by Lu Yu in Cha-Jing. Initially called Xiang-Lin-Cha-Cha and Bai-Yun-Bao and Yun-Cha, the names of mountains in which it was produced. Legend has it, or rather one of the legends concerning this tea during the Qing dynasty emperor Qing-Long with a view to the mountain-Feng Shi, this tea was served. The king was so impressed by the aroma and taste of the drink that he had prepared the infusion Monaco invited him to view the garden in which grew 18 plants of tea. Unfortunately, during a visit to the emperor was urgently called to the palace at the bedside of the Queen Mother ill. The Emperor then left the palace at a time bringing with him some tea leaves.
